Use Your Axe to Chop Trees
Equip your axe and come close to a tree. Chop down on them to reduce their health. Chopping hard on the tree will use more SP but will deplete their health more.
The more levelled up your Wood Cutting Life is, the more Axe skills you will have access to which helps deplete the tree's health faster.
Find The Sweet Spot
With particularly harder trees, use your movement button to side step all around the tree to look for its Sweet Spot. You will know when you hit it when you see a purple bubble pop up when you hit it.
This is the tree's critical spot, where they will take the most damage. Use this to your advantage when taking down tougher trees earlier on.
Deal Big Damage at the Last Hit
When you plan your strikes strategically and use a strong attack at the end, you will trigger Excellent Gathering, which gives you bonus materials afterwards.
Plan your chops properly to always hit Excellent Gathering to make your wood gathering more efficient!
